Before Installation, Please Ensure:

  • Your device supports eSIM.

  • Your device is not carrier-locked.

  • You have a stable Wi-Fi or cellular connection.

Important Notice

eSIM installation requires an active internet connection. Please complete the installation in advance, and only enable the eSIM and turn on data roaming after arriving at your destination.

Each QR code / activation code can be used on one device only and cannot be reused on multiple devices.

Installation Steps (Detailed Version, ~4–10 minutes)

Preparation Steps (Pixel / Most Android Devices)

  1. Open Settings → Network & Connections

  2. Locate the SIM Manager option

  3. Tap + Add SIM / Download SIM / Add eSIM

  4. Select Scan QR Code

  5. Use the camera to scan the QR code provided by XPIN

    • If the QR code is on the same phone: copy the activation code provided by XPIN, tap Enter Details Manually, and enter the required information.

  6. The system will download the configuration profile (requires a stable network connection, approx. 10–30 seconds). Please wait patiently and do not exit the process.

Activation and Testing

  1. After arriving at your destination: Go to SIM Manager → XPIN eSIM → Enable eSIM.

  2. Enable Mobile Data Roaming.

  3. Restart your phone 1–2 times, or toggle Airplane Mode ON/OFF 1–2 times.

  4. You can have up to 2 active SIMs/eSIMs simultaneously (physical SIM + eSIM or dual eSIM). Your device can store at least 8 eSIM profiles, and you may switch between them freely as needed.

  5. Test connectivity: Open a browser and the XPIN App to check signal and data usage.

  6. Ensure your current location is covered by your data plan. XPIN supports connectivity in up to 149 countries and regions. If your destination is not included in your current plan, the eSIM will not connect. However, you can purchase a new data plan to extend coverage and data volume without changing the eSIM.

Android-Specific Notes

  • Menu paths may vary by brand; the key is to locate the SIM management function.

  • If you see “Unable to add eSIM”:

    • Check whether too many eSIMs are already installed (some devices are limited to 5–10 profiles). Delete old profiles and retry.

  • Some Samsung devices may require:

    • Enabling “OEM Unlock” in Developer Options, or

    • Disabling “Secure Wi-Fi”.
